Google Forms adds Gemini 'actionable insights' to survey responses, announced Nov. 5
If you run customer or job surveys in Google Forms, Gemini can now summarize the responses and suggest next steps, possibly saving your office a few hours a month.
- What happened
On Nov. 5, 2026, Google announced actionable insights in Google Forms, which uses Gemini to analyze form responses, surface key trends and recommend next steps, generated directly from a form's Responses tab. Google says Gemini analyzes the responses by writing and running Python code, so counts, percentages and comparisons are grounded in the actual response data.
- What it means for a 10-to-50-person business
Per Google, the feature is available on Business Standard and Plus (and Enterprise and Education Plus), not on Business Starter. Rollout is gradual: it began Nov. 2 for Rapid Release domains and starts Nov. 19 for Scheduled Release domains, with up to 15 days before it shows up. Take a 25-person cleaning company that sends a survey after every job and gets about 300 responses a month. If the office manager spends 3 hours a month tallying them and Gemini cuts that to 30 minutes, the shop saves about 2.5 hours, roughly $75 a month at $30 an hour. Google says Gemini writes and runs Python on the responses, so counts are calculated, not guessed. The suggested next steps are still opinions, so check them against what you know. Skip it if you are on Business Starter or use Jotform or SurveyMonkey.
